Drum Line practice is Tuesday.   Battery in the morning from 9 am to 11:30 am.  Front Ensemble in the afternoon from 1 pm to 3:30 pm.
Remember to be there around 15 minutes before your session starts to get set up.

Also, uniform fittings are this week for everyone.  This is very important!  If you can't make one of the below times, please let us know.

Seniors: Tuesday 9 am to 11 am
Juniors: Tuesday 1 pm to 3 pm
Sophomores: Wednesday 9 am to 11 am
Freshmen: Wednesday 1 pm to 3 pm

We will also have an evening time on Tuesday from 7 pm to 9 pm for those who can't get there in the daytime.  Any class can come at this time.

Majorette Camp June 24th to 28th - 6 am to noon.
Leadership Meetings - June 25th and 27th from 6 pm to 7 pm.  These meetings are for students who want to be considered for leadership roles in the band.
If you can't get to one of these fittings please contact Leatha Ogden at 256-233-6284 or e-mail her at jeffstwin@charter.net.  Your child will be fitted for their band uniform during these sessions so please wear athletic shorts and a t-shirt.  Also, we will get sizes for t-shirts and polo shirts for the students.  The band directors are considering black polos instead of white this year so everyone will be fitted for polos, not only freshmen.  The polo shirts will be around $30 each, due at delivery of shirts.

Every year we do a show t-shirt that goes with our band show for the year.  The cost of this is included in band camp for the kids.  However, parents like to order these shirts also and chaperones are required to get one.  They are $15 each and you can start signing up for them right now.  Leatha Ogden will have the list at the meeting or you can email me with your sizes.  Money is due before the shirts are delivered in July.  Orders are due by July 8th.  We do not order many extras so get yours before the due date.

Band Camp fee or $250 is due by July 16th.  We would like to stagger the delivery of this and get it of of our meeting dates if possible.  So we ask that you pay at you child's first July practice.  The dates are in the newsletter.

Officer elections were held.  The officers for next year are as follows:
President: Johnny Hays
Vice-President: Tony Beaver
Secretary: Denita McElyea
Treasurer: Wendy Bobo
Parliamentarian: Tim Thorn
Historian: Wendy McNutt

Our next band parent meeting will be June 10th.

At the June meeting we will hand out medication forms to fill out for band camp. Hopefully the school nurse will be there to answer any questions. Also, we will start a list for band show t-shirt orders. As you know, the students shirt is included in band camp dues but if you would like to order a shirt you can do so. These usually run $15. We will know for sure sometime in June what the cost will be. Orders will need to be turned in the first part of July so let us know at the June meeting what size you need. You can also email me sizes in June. The kids will be fitted at uniform fittings.

One other item that is very important is that Band Camp fees of $250 are due the first rehearsal in July. This is different for everyone so here are the dates:
Drumline - July 9th
Color Guard/ Majorettes - July 15th
Wind and Brass - July 16th
July 16th is the absolute last date. Just drop your payment int he wooden box in Mr. Williams office behind the door. Please be sure that it is in a labelled envelope. We are trying to prevent a mile long line at the band parent meeting.
